Home : The Collection : What I'll Miss

I leave this place in not a month,
But nearly that by half.
There are many things I will miss,
And many I'll let pass.
I'll miss the love, shown to me,
Each and every day,
Though the showee might have changed,
The love, I hope, will stay.
I'll miss my pets, and my sister too,
Not the noises, or the IOUs.
I will miss my friends that are here,
You know who you are,
I shall return often so don't you fear,
And I won't be far.
I miss already some friends I had,
Who I haven't spoken to,
Not for lack of trying or lack of calls,
To return they refuse.
I tried, but the list is too numerous to name,
And it stretches on and on,
And hopefully someday soon I will see you,
And not miss you anymore.
I will miss my room, and desk,
And the forest with my fond memories.
I will miss the lakes about,
And all there is to see.
But if you all come and visit me,
And tell me tales of your days,
I will not miss as much,
And together we will smile.
