Two Chairs
Two chairs stand alone in a room, With one facing the other's back, Wooden, silent, polished craft, Having not but luster's lack. But in each other they find comfort, Upon the rug as they, there, sit, Each knowing that the other, Will always be there for it. Each with it's curving back, A rock gentle in the windless night, Moments spent together, alone, Neither in the other's sight. Knowing that the other there, Will remain there as friend an guide, Knowing that no love will fail, And their dreams coincide. |
