She is the Sea
She reminds me of the sea, Flowing brown hair as the waves, I swear I hear the pounding, Of the water upon the hull, Of the ship on which, I do not stand. Her very self, An ocean, calm and dangerous, Something hidden, Something beautiful, within. Depths where no light is shed, Where in lies the deepest secrets. The strongest loves, And the darkest desires, That human eyes could bear to see. If I were to enter my submarine, And dive into those depths, Would I see what I seek, Or would everything flee in fear, From the creature unknown? |
