A strange night it was,
Dark and still, but kind of bright,
Radiant in the blackness,
Blindness all in sight.
Sweetness in the mouth,
Whispers, silent in the ear,
Tasteless, deaf, loving,
Desires to just be near.
A drive silent,
Death to visit up ahead,
Tears streaming in the eyes,
Desire for a strong stone 'stead.
Kindness repayed by friendship,
Caring repayed by love,
Being there in necessity,
Cooing, a sweet mourning dove.
Strength for weakness,
A support strong and known,
Loving, caring, here,
You'll never be alone.
