My Dreams
Speak to me, dream of mine, Though you are so far away, I seem out of place, of time, Still, with me you'd stay. Sink into my arms tonight, And let me woo you fair, Tangling in my fingers slight, The soft strands of you hair. Our words together a twain, Of love so strong and fine, Through the sunshine, rain, A strand for all time? When I say I love you, know, That I speak words true, I utter softly to you, low, I choose to not lie to you. Hold my hand as we sit, Silently by the sea, As the poets of love writ, Us two are here to be. Hold me tight as dawn draws, And when breaks we shall see, Our love is not build on straws, But God's holy majesty. |
