Memories of Kae
There is a lake here where I am, Kae, With lights like your hair, Radient, cheerful, and soft they are, That light the water's edge. The lake reminds me of yours so much, Not because it looks the same, But only because in existing, it, Makes me think of you. I took a stroll out there tonight, As saw the moon above, And I pondered in it's shining light, Just what I thought of you. Remember how I told you, Kae, There there are usually two? That's not true at all right now, There is only you. So I sat there from a moment's tick, Then another passed me by, Arm stretched out, on the back, Around someone who was not there. Upon realizing this, I laughed, And my laugh reminded me of yours, Twinkling, sweet, innocent, With a beautiful underline de toi. So I stood, to walk away, And I looked into the lake so blue, And reflected from the sky there were, Fireworks, not there when I looked to search. So I glanced eathward again, And trudged my tired feet on home, And in that darkness, I could have sworn, I saw yours next to mine. |
