In the olden day there were k-nights, Ruling all the land, Under their king they did stand, Two types of men there were, Either good or bad, In these days there was a boy, Who if he, Wanted to become a knight, He had to slave for one you see, In the olden days there were k-nights, Most thought all the did was joust and fight, They had to rule their land, Some were just and fair, But others were a real scare, He had to mind the servants, He had to fight in wars, He would come back with many a sore, They were both brave and considered smart, In the olden days there were k-nights, They had families, That lived in finery, They, when they were young, Studied long and hard, If to be a knight, The had to prove the worth in a fight, Prove they had learned the law, And be kind to others they saw, In the olden days there were k-nights, They lived in castles, Defended them well, Beat back the enemy, But some fell, They lived in warmth, With food and drink, They went on stag hunts, With horses and dogs, spears and swords, In the olden days there were k-nights. |
