"Remember me," the axe once said,
"Never me," the axe did lie,
"Forever me, for once I'm dead,"
"Remember, you shall die."
I laughed at the words,
Sneered at the voice,
The voice that once had lured,
Forever I'd be free again,
A pupper never more.
I smote the axe upon,
The rock I stood befre,
In the new done shone,
The axe, whole never more,
The sun rose as blood,
The earth howled and cried,
Screaming up from the mud,
As the axe forever died.
