Thirteen things about my week

1. I found this meme, signed up, and immediately began rewriting the text to create something easier to use and understand. (Once a usability pervert, always a usability pervert.)
2. I gave my notice at my current gig, and got the first full night's sleep I've gotten in a month. (Coincidence? I think not.)
3. I put out my Christmas lights...on the inside of my patio fence.
4. I tweaked my site design yet again. Nothing incredibly major; I just changed the colorscheme.
5. I'm looking forward to cooler weather, but I vastly enjoyed the last warm weekend.
6. I'm having an exceptionally good week: I just received a book from a friend. She often recommends enjoyable reads, so I now have a good book to read this weekend.
7. I will miss seeing the friends I've made at this current gig; but the overwhelming feeling is still that of lancing a boil: blessed relief.
8. I'm rewatching Babylon 5 (episode: Soul Hunter). The Soul Hunters are odd mystics, and have some really cool lines. The deep blue of pain, indeed...
9. Next month will be interesting: I get my final paycheck for this gig on Friday, and then get my first check from the new gig on December 1. Send me no-car-emergencies vibes :D
10. I was the third voter at my polling place yesterday. I got in line at 5:30am. I'm glad I did...I may have waited an hour and a half to vote, but I got free breakfast afterward, read some interesting articles while waiting, and beat the huge lines with which later voters got to contend.
11. I have several dozen GMail invites, free to good homes. If you'd like a GMail account, just leave a note in the comments section.
12. I'm thinking of eating only locally-produced food. I live near both agriculture and fisheries, so I won't be limiting my menu choices too drastically.
13. I'm vaguely concerned by the number of searchers who are finding this site by searching for the phrase "should child abuse be illegal" or "is child abuse illegal". Shouldn't that one be a no-brainer?!??
