Another weekend, more birds.
Many birds.
Right now there are nine birds on the patio - six of them hanging off the sunflower-feeder.
. (There might be one or two hanging on the other side, completely hidden by the feeder; but you can definitely see six in this photo.) This morning I just left the music and TV off, listening to the birdsong. I swept the patio clean…only to sit and watch two birds methodically check every single port, and chuck bits of millet onto the just-swept patio. Fog and Ursa sat and watched, thrilled. Fog only leaped at the window twice. 
The weather was very nice today, which inspired the birds to even more busy-ness and chirpitude. At one point I counted an even dozen birds on my patio. I’m not looking forward to cleaning the bird poo off the patio — just how does one clean outdoor floor coverings, anyhow? — and I’m mildly worried about Fog busting through the screen door one of these days in her desire to catch a bird.
Today, though, she’s just too tired:
