Amethyst

Main color: purple
Highlights: none

medium medium-solid medium-dark matte

Similar to: BE's Violet Sky shadow, but with more blue

This shade makes a good shading, layering accent, or contour. I've also used it as a lower-lid liner, to outline my eyes at the outer corners. I had to apply it heavily to get a rich, solid purple (there's another color in the Simply Naturals line, Palatinate, that might work well for those seeking a no-holds-barred, take-no-prisoners purple as a main color.) There is no shimmer, and it can be applied lightly for a whisper of an accent. It looks very striking when combined with Cherry Jubilee. An excellent solid performer and good "mixing tool".

Antiqued Silver

Main color: medium cool grey
Highlights: metallic silver

WeightOpacityIntensityFinish
medium medium medium shimmer

Similar to: BE's Bravo eyeshadow

A neutral, midweight grey that works equally well as a liner, contour shade, main color, or layer to dim or deepen lighter colors. This is light enough that I've been able to apply it as an outliner accent to my lower lids, yet can be dark enough to apply just a hint of shading as a contour shade. The mica adds shimmering accents to your eyes.

Apricot

Main color: beige peach
Highlights: hints of pink

WeightOpacityIntensityFinish
light medium-faint medium matte

Similar to: BE's Peach Puff eyeshadow, slightly lighter weight

A very light peach color that functions as a base or a lightener. I applied this under my eyes, beneath the "lower lid" area, and it slightly brightened my eyes without adding any sparkles (which can sometimes be distracting so far away from the eye itself.) Not one of my favorites when used alone, but did provide a good base for the Fantasy colors.

Aster

Main color: light lavender
Highlights: none

Perhaps I just don't have the right skin tone for this - but I can't find a way to make this look good on me. (Suggestions would be helpful. I hate to waste a jar.) I was hoping, from the description, that this would be a little darker purple or carry a little more weight. This might look good layered over neutrals or darker browns, to add both the shimmer and a slight tint.

Azure

Main color: medium-light blue
Highlights: none

WeightOpacityIntensityFinish
medium-light medium medium matte

Similar to: BE's Blue Moon (same color, different finish)

Don't be thrown by the color name. This color is not similar to BE's Azure glimpse. This particular shade has no sparkle or shimmer, for one thing. For another, it's not as deep a blue. It's either a dark powder blue or a light robin's-egg blue (honest truth? in the jar, it looked like light-blue pool queue chalk. My grandparents had a pool table in their basement, so I grew up around this stuff.) It's not as intense on the skin, but a lighter version of poolchalk blue. A good, solid, basic performer in a matte finish. Works as a base or layer, especially to lend some blue tint to a pastel pink or peach.

Works best as a liner, because of the dark color and weight - but when combined with any of the transformative colors, this can be layered to create a fascinating lid color. Try this layered under Viola, Plum Shimmer, or Egypt.

Blackstar Green

Works best as a liner, because of the dark color and weight - but when combined with any of the transformative colors, this can be layered to create a fascinating lid color. I've combined this well with Viridian and Light Nutmeg, but also with Plum Tree. I was also pleased with the results when I layered this under a light dusting of Fantasy Copper.
