Thursday Thirteen 88::24: Return of the Header Graphics

Nine brand new header graphics, four that were posted previously. Most are photos of my cats, so if you aren't an ailurophile, you probably won't be thrilled. Please save these graphics to your own server rather than linking to them from this site.

  1. I didn't stage this photo. Ursa crawled underneath a fold of the comforter one day when I had the fan on. (While the fan did cool things down, it also ruffled his fur...and Ursa hates that.)
    button
  2. Fog sits in my computer chair quite often. Earlier this week when I approached, she rolled over — probably hoping that the extreme cuteness would keep me from evicting her from her perch.
    button
  3. Ursa and Fog, both sitting in the computer chair. (Fog has lately started a passive-aggressive campaign to take over any spot that Ursa tries to claim. One of these days, he's going to turn around and whap her.)
    button
  4. The cats, in the TV cabinet. One of my hesitations in purchasing a widescreen is that it would either be too large for my current TV cabinet...or it would pretty much nix any further scenes like this one.
    button
  5. All three cats, conspiring about something. Probably about how to get more treats.
    button
  6. A family of white tigers at a zoo in China.
    button
  7. A photo from Astronomy of the Day: an aurora over Alaska. Photo credits to Joshua Strang, USAF.
    button
  8. Wake-up juice on a textured-brick background.
    button
  9. My own creation, using a very nice photo of a beach. I am ready for summer. NOW.
    button

And now, the older header graphics:
  10. Urban silhouettes
    button
  11. Down the spiral staircase
    button
  12. Sunrise on the surface of Mars. Photo credit to NASA.
    button
  13. The Witches' Head Nebula. The large version of this photo is my current desktop background.
    button

Great headers!  The last one is my favorite.  I might have to borrow/use it sometime. Thanks and Happy TT!

Are these available for others to use?

The beach graphic and mars are very cool. Did you use photoshop?

Very cool webdesign.

Thanks for the compliments! Anyone can use any of these header graphics. You’ll just need to copy them to your own server.

And yes, Jen, I use Photoshop as my main graphics tool. I also use Gimp, though, just to keep abreast of another graphics program’s way of thinking. (And if I ever get to the point where I can’t afford to keep upgrading Photoshop, I want to be very familiar with an alternate tool.)

Thanks so much for the graphics!  I have saved some of them to use in the future. What a great Thursday Thirteen!  My TT is also posted -  13-letter words.

Very creative headers. Where did you find the Walt Disney handwriting for the beach header?

I’m all nostalgic this time round - lessons learned from Mom & Dad.

Very pretty graphics. I’m a sucker for a kitten! (I have four; does that prove my point?)

Thanks for sharing! Happy TT!

These are great.  Someday we’re going to have to talk about how many pennies I’d have to send you to get some custom graphics made wink

Very nice graphics!  I will have to come back and “borrow” one sometime.  smile

Love the tigers and the beach umbrella!

I honestly forget where I found the Walt Disney font - possibly at the Dingbat Cave?

Isn’t that a great photo in #10? The aurora is stunning. At times I wish I lived far enough north to see the aurora borealis. Then I remember how bloody cold I’d be, and think better of it :D

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen that font on FontFreak, too.

Nice headers!
