But it was a shiny new toy. I had to play with it. The voices told me to!!!
I’m doing the jobsearch thing, which means I really needed to spend yesterday putting together a site design for my online portfolio. I’m not looking for a web design job, so it doesn’t have to be razzledazzle; but it needs to be clean. I’m rather picky, though: I can design a site for anyone else, but when it comes to me I can’t seem to put anything together. Nothing looks right. I’ve constantly got to fiddle with this and that and that other thing.
Knowing this about myself, and knowing that this site needs to be up by the end of the day today, I of course spent all day yesterday fiddling with my new digital camera.
Why, yes, I do have my priorities straight, don’t I?
I still haven’t figured out how to get pictures off that camera and onto my computer without installing another piece of software. (I shouldn’t need to do that, though. I should be able to use the software I’ve already got installed.) Later today, I’ll probably break down and call the number and ask for help. It was just so easy to use my Samsung, though, that it’s puzzling that I should have to go through so many other contortions to use the Nikon.
Okay, coffee break’s over, everyone back to standing on your heads…
