Sony's DRM Rootkit: the real story
Sony BMG Entertainment Music's rootkit was installed without consumer knowledge. And the uninstall mechanism provided by Sony doesn't actually uninstall the rootkit. And the rootkit leaves a huge gaping hole in Windows' already-shaky security. And the rootkit itself, intended to prevent consumer copyright infringement, may infringe on software copyrights itself. And Sony BMG has managed to get their rootkit on the Department of Defense's computers.

Things are starting to get interesting. Get the popcorn, and don't buy Sony products if you can avoid it.
