I'm in for an...interesting December.

The past week has been hectic...and it isn't going to let up until January. However, it's for good reasons. (I'm going to need to keep repeating that to myself.)
I'll be moving into a new apartment in just over two weeks. This place has done well enough as a waystation; but I'm definitely ready to go elsewhere.
Top Ten Things I Won't Miss:
- having to turn off all plugged-in appliances — including my refridgerator — to use my microwave
- the pyromaniac neighbors' grill-bonfires right outside my kitchen window
- my cats' paws breaking through the windowsills...because the termites have eaten all the underlying wood
- pimp season
- having my clothing hung in two rows (one behind the other) in my miniscule closet
- living eight freaking blocks from the freaking Grand Prix racetrack
- the highway noise (Hwy 280 cuts downtown in half at one end of my street)
- a landlord who sits on rent checks for over a month
- throwing something away, then seeing it reappear in front of one of my neighbors' apartments
I should be completely moved in to the new place in time for Christmas. If I'm very lucky, Serenity will arrive in time for New Year's.
