What is illusion, what is truth...

1 of 1 pages

I love Joseph Campbell because he points out what’s seemed so obvious to me: not only do most cultures have similar roles and conventions, many religions and philosophies have more points of congruence than people think…or will admit. I’ve never been a big fan of dream interpretation (mostly because I can never remember mine*) but as a field, it’s always interested me.

Neil Crespi puts up a list of dream journals, books, and interesting art and comics — all dealing with, or inspired by, dreams. Joseph Campbell appears on the list (of course), as do Lewis Carroll, William Butler Yeats, William Shakespeare, Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, and many others whose names are familiar even to folks who’ve never explored this field, even tangentially. The rest of the site contains some interesting, entertaining, and thought-provoking articles.
