It's working...for now...
I got my home computer to work - the nice people at the computer vendor walked me through the problem. Turned out to be relatively easy to fix: just remove the memory cards, then put them back in. Some of them had loosened over time. Ursa loves coming and sitting on top of the computer…and I set the computer atop a wire shelf to keep it away from some of the carpet fuzz and dust. That wire shelf isn’t the stablest of perches, especially when a cat sits atop it.
Now I’m afraid to turn the computer off.
(But hey, at least it’s working.)
Maybe after I get back from the training ride tomorrow, I’ll feel brave enough to try reconnecting the home network. Right now, though, I’m going to bed. I have to be in the city at 4am…
